Webinar Tomorrow: Preparing for VoLTE

There have been a lot of false starts with VoLTE, mostly related to issues with synchronization and timing where requirements are especially tight. There are also problems with packet loss and backhaul quality. Unlike with circuit-switched calls where quality can degrade, VoLTE is either on or off: if there's unreliable bandwidth, or bandwidth is just on the edge when capacity increases, calls get dropped.Roaming handoffs between towers requires exceptionally tight precision.

Before committing to developing a region for VoLTE, operators can and should check to make sure their network is ready. Load testing the network, simulating traffic types, and using MOS is an method of understanding if and where there are network pinch-points so they can be addressed. This way, the operator can have confidence when rolling out VoLTE that they won't disappoint subscribers.

Accedian's VP of Solutions Development and Marketing, Scott Sumner, dives into this topic in a micro webinar (15 minute presentation, 15 minute Q&A) May 14, 2015, at 11:30am ET. (Register here.) Part of our Low Latency Learning Series, this webinar looks at the architectural and performance assurance challenges operators face as they plan for and deploy VoLTE services. Bring your specific questions and come prepared for a lively and informative session.
