Last month, Accedian Networks won a 2015 NFV Pioneer Award from TMC's Internet Telephony Magazine.

This was a proud moment for the entire company, but especially everyone involved in bringing to market the winning solution: SkyLIGHT VCX Controller, the industry's first performance assurance controller employing Network Function Virtualization (NFV) to offer advanced monitoring capabilities networkwide, without the need for expensive, highend test equipment.

By eliminating key cost, scalability, and coverage barriers to network performance visibility, service providers can now more cost effectively ensure a better quality of experience (QoE) for users.

In addition to the solution developers pictured above, recognition goes out to the outstanding work of these other Accedian team members who made a difference turning this new solution into reality:

  • Jacob Perreault, Software Developer, contributed to the software development and support of VCX.
  • Stacey Love, Senior Technical Writer, went the extra mile to create and deliver a new set of top-quality documentation for this new virtualized product in time for our GA release.
  • Greg Spear, Product Manager, provided precious direction and feedback, acted as the voice of the customer, and added his “magic touch” to ensure best-in class usability and integration.
  • Tino Zottola, Senior SQA Engineer, tested the overall solution, the SNMP and the alarms of this new product in a time for our GA release.
  • Fred Laflèche, Senior Software Designer, created the virtualized environment and packaging which materializes the new paradigm of this solution.
  • Scott Sumner, VP of Solutions Development and Marketing, who masterminded our new marketing positioning around virtualization and applied for us to win this award.
Teamwork for the win!
